Chefs Biography - Chef Shannon Bennett
Experimenting in his grandmothers kitchen as a young boy led Shannon to take up home economics at school and at the age of 15 an apprenticeship at the Melbourne Hyatt Hotel. He further developed his culinary skills whilst working alongside Chefs Albert Roux, John Barton Race and Marco Pierre White. With a passion for french food, foi gras and french wine, Shannon's first restaurant venture was the now famous Vue de Monde which opened its doors in Carlton in 2000. Shannon's style reflects his passion for using fresh rare ingredients, the best of crockery ,cutlery and glassware and his indulgent french flare is often referred to as a Culinary Ferrari. He is author of cookbooks travel guides and has appeared in numerous television food shows
