Boasting an unusually benign climate and a pollution free geographic, Chile is one of the fastest growing wine regions in the world with a large proportion of chilean wine grapes that are grown organically. After establishing its reputation as a producer of low cost, reliably fruity Cabernet and Merlot in the vine paradise of the Central Valley, Chile’s viticultural limits have extended in all directions. The cooler climate of northern Chile is famous for its table grapes and grapes for pisco, Chile’s curiously addictive Moscal-based spirit, while the Central Valley is essentially red wine country and the south for its Moscatel. Despite a decline in average yields due to winemakers striving to make more complex wines and a rise in grape prices, Chile exports about 70 percent of its total production and Buy Chile Wines are renowned for having a long viticulture history dating back to 16th Century
