Chefs Biography - Chef Ferran Adria
Starting out as a dishwasher in a hotel restaurant after dropping out of school, Chef Ferran Adria engrossed himself in basic cooking techniques that inspired his own culinary style. At the age of 23, Adria became head chef at El Bulli, a traditional french restaurant on the Catalonia coast. After touring master chef owned restaurants in France, Chef Adria brought a new creative Mediterranean Cuisine to El Bulli, including the use of foams to add texture to foods. His culinary philosophy of contrasting flavors textures and temperatures has earned Adria global recognition as an innovative culinary mastermind.
