Ingredients for our specially created Carrot and Walnut Cake Recipe
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups grated carrots (about 2 medium carrots)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch square baking pan.
- In a medium-sized bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vegetable oil until well combined. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in grated carrots and chopped walnuts until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
